Video Documentary / News Packages

Documentaries of 3 to 5 minutes or 2-3 minute News package on the relevant themes. These packages and documentaries must be based on real life stories and incidents.

Rules

  1. Video quality should be in High Definition (HD).
  2. Must be real life stories
  3. At least 75% of the footage must be self-shot. The rights to any other footage (stock, file footage etc.) is the responsibility of the entry submitters. The Ministry will not be held responsible for any copyright violation.
  4. Duration of any video should not be more than 3 minutes
  5. The video may be prepared by a group or an individual. However, awards and prizes will be presented in the names of the video(s).
  6. All the entries for ‘PurAzm Pakistan’ competition with complete requirements/documentations may be sent on or before the deadline.
  7. Copyrights of the entry will be shared with Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, which can manage broadcast/publish of these products on any media platform.

Profile Story

This category explores the art of storytelling through writing. If you are a true craftsman or craftswoman of the written word, and believe you can portray a detailed account of a real-life experience in 750 words, then choose your favorite theme and register today!

Rules

  1. The word limit for the profile story is 750 words
  2. The stories can be in both Urdu and English
  3. The profile story must be accompanied by a photo of the subject.
  4. The story must be based on a real life incident, individual or group.
  5. Photo will be submitted in JPG format along with RAW files where possible
  6. The project may be prepared by a group or an individual. However, awards and prizes will be presented in the names of the entry.

Digital Creative Content

Digital Content includes text based or graphics based animation that has a duration of three minutes, or less. This category involves, at least, basic knowledge of animation softwares, and like every other category, a special talent for storytelling. Below is a list of all the types of animation you can choose from:

  • CGI / 3D animation
  • Motion-based Typography
  • Stop-motion (Claymation, Cut-outs)

In this category, you may choose any one of the provided themes, and tell your story in the form of a Photomontage / Collage, or a series of five photos relevant to the chosen topic. The story must be based on a real-life account of an event or experience, and relevant to the chosen theme.

This category explores participants’ skills in journalism and in telling a great story by making important news interesting. You may make video news packages, relevant to your selected theme, with a duration of three minutes or less and based on real life events or individuals.
